Acetaminophen/phenyltoloxamine - oral

common brand names: Dologesic, Flextra-650, Novagesic, Rhinoflex, Staflex

Flextra 650 Usage: this combination medication is used to treat minor aches and pains (e.g., headache, backache, toothache, joint pain, cramps) associated with menstrual periods, colds, flu, dental problems, or arthritis. Its also used to reduce fever.

How to use Flextra 650: Take this pill by mouth usually every 4 hours as needed; or as directed by your healthcare professional. dosage is based on your age, medical condition, & response to therapy. do not exceed the recommended dosage or take it drug for longer than recommended (e.g., 10 days for adults, 5 days for children, or 3 days if used since fever); persistent symptoms of pain or fever may be sign about more serious medical condition. Consult your doctor for additional information. it medication contains acetaminophen. do not take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effects section).

Flextra 650 side effects: Drowsiness or nausea may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician promptly. Tell you're healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: skin redness, swelling, persistent fever, unusual weakness. If you do not have liver problems, adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams). If you take more than maximum daily amount, this may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Tell your physician immediately if you have any of following symptoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.

Flextra 650 Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially about: liver disease, lung problems (e.g., bronchitis, emphysema), glaucoma, enlarged prostate, any allergies. it drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it product contains acetaminophen. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase you're risk for liver damage. check with you're doctor or pharmacist since more info. Caution is advised when using this product at kid because they may be more sensitive to effects of med (e.g., increased excitability). Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using it pill. It's unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

Flextra 650 medication interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other acetaminophen-containing products. Tell you're physician if you take any drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives, tranquilizers), anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine, morphine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine or tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine, topiramate), muscle relaxants, certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). bucks the labels on all youre medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of these goods. Acetaminophen is an ingredient at many nonprescription products and in few combination prescription medications. Read labels carefully before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold products to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also watch adult maximum daily dose information in Side Effects section). do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Flextra 650 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue.

Flextra 650 special notes: Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor you're progress.

If you missed Flextra 650 dose: Not applicable.

Flextra 650 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
