Cytra K Usage: this pill makes the urine less acidic. it is used in the treatment of certain kidney disorders and gout.
How to use Cytra K: this medication should be diluted in water before drinking to prevent stomach upset. Take the prescribed dose & dilute it in at least 1/2 glass of water. Stir to mix & drink, following with additional water. this is usually taken after meals and at bedtime. do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this med. Take this med as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often without your doctor's approval.
Cytra K side effects: Notify your doctor if you develop: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, fluid retention, convulsions, unusual weakness, mental confusion, tingling or numbness of the hands or feet. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Cytra K Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, liver disease, Addison's disease, high blood pressure, a sodium-(salt)restricted diet (this pill contains sodium), allergies (especially medication allergies). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts about it tablet found at breast milk, consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Cytra K drug interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: lithium, chlorpropamide, methotrexate, aspirin, water tablets, certain heart drugs (e.g., quinidine, digoxin), certain blood pressure medications (e.g., ACE inhibitors such as lisinopril; angiotensin blockers such as losartan), methenamine, tetracyclines (including doxycycline & minocycline), potassium supplements, azole antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Cytra K Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include sluggishness, weakness, confusion, irregular heartbeat, or fainting.
Cytra K special notes: While taking this medication, it may be necessary for you to test pH (acidity) of your urine using special paper. the pH will help determine proper dose.
If you missed Cytra K dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cytra K Storage: liquid may be stored at room temperature or in refrigerator, which will help improve the flavor.
