    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim Usage: this combination medication is used to treat certain bacterial infections of the eyes (e.g., conjunctivitis).

    How to use Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim: Place it tablet in affected eyes usually all 3 hours; or use as directed by your healthcare professional. the number of drops (dosage) depends on your medical condition & response to therapy. To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. for best results, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using it for the full clock prescribed. Stopping it drug too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow which may result in relapse about the infection. If you wearing contact lenses, remove them before using eye drops. then tilt your head back, gaze upward, and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Hold dropper directly over eye and instill prescribed number of drops. see downward & gently close you're eye since 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger in the corner of the eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. this will prevent medication from draining away from the eye. Try not to blink & don't rub the eye. don't rinse dropper. Replace dropper cap after each use. If you are using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait in least five minutes before applying any other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments, to allow eye drops to enter the eye.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim side effects: Eye redness, burning, stinging, or itchiness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre physician promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these serious side effects occurs: swelling in or around eye, rash around eyes. An allergic reaction to this product is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: dizziness, trouble breathing. Use of it medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in secondary infection (e.g., other bacteria or fungal infections). Contact youre healthcare professional if your notice any new symptoms or your condition worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: contact lens use, any allergies. Though unlikely with eye drops, it medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. If you notice increased sensitivity to sun, avoid prolonged sun exposure, use sunscreen, and wear protective clothing when outdoors. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. it is not known whether this tablet passes into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use, especially: other eye drops, other antibiotics (oral or eye antibiotics). do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim special notes: don't share this med with others. it med has been prescribed for you're current condition only. do not use it later since other infection unless told to do so by you're doctor. different medication may be necessary in those cases.

    If you missed Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time about the next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Polymyxin B Sul Trimethoprim Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 77 degrees F (15 & 25 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
