Tussin Pe Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Tussin Pe: Take this drug by mouth as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Tussin Pe side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur first some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify youre physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Tussin Pe Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this tablet may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Its not known if it medication appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tussin Pe medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, high blood pressure drugs. Tell youre healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in last 2 weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Tussin Pe Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Tussin Pe special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Tussin Pe dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tussin Pe Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
