Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40: Take this pill by mouth. pills should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk & benefits with your physician. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk; consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug since depression, medication since HBP. Tell your doctor if you have, in last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

If you missed Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time since following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 40 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
