Capital W Codeine Usage: it pill is combination about a narcotic (codeine) & a non-narcotic (acetaminophen) used to relieve mild to moderate pain. Codeine works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain & spinal cord, & acetaminophen decreases formation about prostaglandins, therefore relieving pain.
Capital W Codeine can be used also for: this med may also be used to suppress cough.
How to use Capital W Codeine: Take this med by mouth, as directed by youre doctor. You may take this medication with or without food. If you have nausea, you may take this tablet with food, although doing so may decrease Its effectiveness. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional of alternatives for decreasing nausea (e.g., antihistamines, lying down for 1-2 hours with minimal head movement). dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Pain medications work best in relieving pain before this becomes severe. 1 time the pain becomes intense, the med isnot as effective in relieving it. Use this medication exactly as prescribed. do not increase your dose, take this more frequently or use it for longer period about time than prescribed because it drug can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of time, do not suddenly stop using this tablet without your doctor's approval. When used for an extended period, it pill may not work as well & may require different dosing. speak with your pharmacist if it medication stops working well. children - your child's dose about this med is based on weight. this medication contains acetaminophen. do not take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effects section).
Capital W Codeine side effects: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, flushing, vision changes, or mental/mood changes may occur. Avoid alcoholic beverages because they may increase risk of side effects of it drug. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk for liver damage. cash with your doctor or pharmacist for more info. To minimize dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from seated or lying position. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of drug, especially the possible decreased breathing and drowsiness effects. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. it is not recommended for use for long periods or at high doses near the expected delivery date because of potential for fetal harm. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. it drug passes in to breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Capital W Codeine medication interactions: this drug shouldn't be used with next medications because very serious interactions may occur: naltrexone. Also report meds that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives), tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription products and in few combination prescription drugs. Read the labels carefully before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold goods to look if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. Capital W Codeine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. If you missed Capital W Codeine dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If It's near the clock of next dose, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
