Amibid DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Amibid DM: Take it pill as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase some your dose or take this more many times than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass about water. don't crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.
Amibid DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur first several days as some your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this tablet makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Amibid DM Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts about this pill are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Amibid DM medication interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or physician approval.
Amibid DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Amibid DM special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Amibid DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Amibid DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
