Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20: Take this medication by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase the dose or take this more much times or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st several days as you're body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this tablet can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk & benefits with your physician. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for hypertension. Tell your physician if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

If you missed Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gfn 600 Phenylephrine 20 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
