Fletcher's Castoria Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation & to clear the intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Fletcher's Castoria: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this pill. Chewable pills to be chewed thoroughly. pills are to be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives must not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Fletcher's Castoria side effects: this drug can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify some your physician if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. it medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it isn't harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Fletcher's Castoria Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives an alternative. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your pharmacist. Consult your pharmacist before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Fletcher's Castoria med interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption about some pills, this is important to tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Fletcher's Castoria Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.
Fletcher's Castoria special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake of fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Fletcher's Castoria dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take it if this is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
