Irritant or stimulant laxatives - oral
Black Draught Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives used to treat constipation & to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Black Draught: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking it medication. Chewable pills are to be chewed thoroughly. tablets are to be swallowed whole with full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Black Draught side effects: this pill can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify you're doctor if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish at color. do not be alarmed. this isn't harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Black Draught Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. Consult your pharmacist before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Black Draught drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of some meds, Its important to tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or doctor approval.
Black Draught Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.
Black Draught special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, It's important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake about fiber and roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Black Draught dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Black Draught Storage: Different brands of it pill may have different storage requirements. Refer to the package labeling or ask youre pharmacist for specific storage requirements for brand you using.
