Amevive Usage: this med is used to treat moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis.
How to use Amevive: Use this drug exactly as prescribed. it drug is given by vein (IV) by pharmacist 1 time weekly. all the preparation and administration instructions in product package must be followed. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unclear on any information. To prevent foaming of the medication, the bottle must not be shaken when dose is prepared. do not use if liquid contains particles or is discolored or cloudy. Make sure needles & any medical supplies are stored safely & disposed of properly. Use this drug regularly in order to get the majority of the benefit from it. To help you remember, take it on same day each week.
Amevive side effects: Pain or swelling at injection site may occur. Dizziness, throat inflammation, increased cough, nausea, itching, muscle pain, or chills may also occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your pharmacist or physician promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if this highly unlikely but very serious side effect occur: chest pain. Though very unlikely, you may have slightly increased risk of developing a cancer due to this tablet. Tell you're doctor immediately if you develop symptoms such as: unusual lumps, swollen glands, skin lesions/spots that new or change appearance. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop signs of infection while using this drug, such as: fever, chills, persistent sore throat, trouble breathing, painful or frequent urination, unusual vaginal discharge, white patches in the mouth (oral thrush). An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Amevive Precautions: this drug must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your physician or pharmacist if you have: history about cancer, active infections, currently receiving phototherapy. Before using this drug, tell your doctor or healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: recurrent infections (e.g., pneumonia, skin infections), immune system disorders (immunosupression), any allergies. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without the consent of your pharmacist and avoid contact with people who have recently received oral polio vaccine. this drug may make you dizzy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. this drug should not be used by children. Caution is advised when using it drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of drug. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. It's not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Breast-feeding isnt recommended while using this med.
Amevive pill interactions: Before using this med, tell your healthcare professional or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: meds that may suppress your immune system (e.g., cancer chemotherapy, prednisone, cyclosporine), live vaccines. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Amevive Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: chills, headache, or joint pain.
Amevive special notes: don't share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., T lymphocyte counts) should be performed periodically to monitor some your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.
If you missed Amevive dose: If you miss dose, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist immediately to establish new dosing schedule.
Amevive Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. one time prepared the diluted solution should be refrigerated & used within 4 hours. cash expiration date on label & properly discard any unused pill after that time. do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from child and pets.
