Medent Ld Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination med is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Medent Ld: Take this medication by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew the tablet. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Medent Ld side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this med can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Medent Ld Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. it is not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Medent Ld drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, med since depression, medication for HBP. Tell some your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Medent Ld Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Medent Ld special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Medent Ld dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Medent Ld Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
