Liquibid D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination tablet is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Liquibid D: Take this medication by mouth. meds must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Liquibid D side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1-st few days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Liquibid D Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with your pharmacist. Its not known if this medication appears at breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Liquibid D drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell your healthcare professional if you have, at last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Liquibid D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness about fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Liquibid D special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Liquibid D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Liquibid D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
