Hemoccult 2 Hole Single Slides Usage: this test is used to cash for blood in stool. it is also used to money for other stomach or intestinal disorders.

How to use Hemoccult 2 Hole Single Slides: in general, stool samples are collected & smeared o slides provided. slides returned for processing. Closely follow instructions below to ensure accurate test results. Read patient instructions provided & be sure to ask your health care provider any questions you may have. With pen, fill in your name, address & age on front about each slide. After bowel movement, take one slide and write date of sample. Open slide 1. Use stick provided to collect small piece of stool and apply thin smear to Box. With same stick, take another sample from another chapter of stool & place a thin smear inside Box B. Discard stick. Close the cover of the slide and store this at paper envelope. Repeat it process for you're next two bowel movements to complete slides two & 3. Hemoccult 2 Hole Single Slides Precautions: do not collect stool samples during or until 5 days after your menstrual period or if you have bleeding hemorrhoids or blood in your urine. Because chemicals may affect the test, remove toilet bowl cleaners from the toilet tank & flush twice before collecting stool sample.

Hemoccult 2 Hole Single Slides drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid use of aspirin or any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain drug for 7 days before and during the test period. Use acetaminophen if necessary. Be aware that cough-and-cold & other combination drugs can contain aspirin or anti-inflammatory agents. large doses of Vitamin C (above 250mg) can affect results of this test. Avoid Vitamin C supplements for 3 days prior to test and look your dietary intake of vitamin C as well (citrus fruits, juices). If you take an iron supplement, dollars to see if it contains vitamin C. following foods may also affect test results. Avoid them for 3 days prior & during test period: red meat, liver, processed meats, raw fruits & vegetables (especially melon), turnip, radishes, horseradish. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
