    Guaifenesin - oral

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin)

    Liquibid Usage: it pill is used to relieve a dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

    How to use Liquibid: Take each dose of this pill with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it drug, unless youre doctor instructs you otherwise. do not take this medication for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your doctor.

    Liquibid side effects: it drug may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Liquibid Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your healthcare professional before using this medication: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. it isn't known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Liquibid drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all the medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure your caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Liquibid Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and unusually slow heartbeat.

    Liquibid special notes: this drug comes in a variety of dose forms such as meds, capsules, long acting tablets or capsules and a syrup. Ask you're physician or healthcare professional to recommend best product since you.

    If you missed Liquibid dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Liquibid Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this drug. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
