Fleet Bisacodyl Usage: this medication is a stimulant laxative. it acts by irritating digestive tract & stimulates intestinal activity. It's used to treat constipation or to clean out the intestinal tract before bowel examinations or bowel surgery.

How to use Fleet Bisacodyl: To use suppository, unwrap it and moisten it slightly in lukewarm water. Lie on youre left side with the right knee slightly bent. Insert suppository into the rectum with your finger. If possible, avoid bowel movement for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the tablet to work.

Fleet Bisacodyl side effects: this medication can cause stomach ache, cramping, weakness, sweating, irritation of rectal region, diarrhea, or dizziness. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: chest pain, fainting, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use of laxatives can cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this med. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Fleet Bisacodyl Precautions: do not use bisacodyl without consulting your doctor if you have: severe nausea, vomiting, gastritis, another stomach or intestinal problems, recent abdominal surgery, rectal bleeding, vitamin/mineral deficiencies, appendicitis, allergy to bisacodyl. If patient is under 6 years of age, consult child's doctor before using this medication. Before using bisacodyl, tell youre physician if you are pregnant. it is not known if bisacodyl passes into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist if you breast-feeding.

Fleet Bisacodyl med interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use. do not stop or start any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Fleet Bisacodyl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken this medicine by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Fleet Bisacodyl special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to six glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage at your diet, & exercise regularly.

If you missed Fleet Bisacodyl dose: If you miss dose, skip the missed dose. do not double dose.

Fleet Bisacodyl Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store at bathroom.
