Poly Dex Usage: this medication is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Poly Dex: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using this for the full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear infection & could possibly result in a reinfection. Apply eye ointment to the affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tube tip or let it touch your eye. Rolling ointment tube in some your hands since minute will make the ointment flow easier. Tilt youre head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into the pouch by squeezing tube gently. Close the eye & roll eyeball in all directions to spread medication. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. Wipe tip about the ointment tube with a tissue to remove excess drug before capping this. If you are using an eye drop in addition to this medication, apply eye drops first and wait at least five minutes before applying this eye ointment. If you are using another type about eye ointment, wait in least ten minutes after using this medication before applying it.
Poly Dex side effects: it med may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for a minute or two when first applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your physician immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/pain/swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.
Poly Dex Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: another eye problems, allergies (especially to any antibiotics or sulfites). this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician.
Poly Dex medication interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Poly Dex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Poly Dex special notes: If the condition since which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after some days, consult youre doctor.
If you missed Poly Dex dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Poly Dex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. bucks the expiration date on the tube & discard any expired pill.
