Guaifenex Gp Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaifenex Gp: Take this drug by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew pill. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this tablet as directed. don't increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaifenex Gp side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or doctor.
Guaifenex Gp Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It's not known if it drug appears in breast milk; consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Guaifenex Gp drug interactions: Tell some your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for hypertension. Tell you're doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or doctor approval.
Guaifenex Gp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Guaifenex Gp special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Guaifenex Gp dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaifenex Gp Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
