Poly Dex Usage: this medication is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Poly Dex: for best effects, this med should be used as directed. Continue using this for the full time prescribed. Stopping it medication too soon may not clear infection and could possibly result in reinfection. Apply eye drops to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it touch you're eye. Shake the eye drops before using. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer prescribed number about drops. watch downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger in corner about eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. it will prevent the med from draining away from the eye. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. don't rinse the dropper. If you are using another kind about eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying another medications.
Poly Dex side effects: this med may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for minute or two when applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable since period after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your physician immediately if you develop: skin rash, eye itching/burning, eye redness/pain, eye swelling, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Poly Dex Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: other eye problems, any allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist.
Poly Dex medication interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Poly Dex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Poly Dex special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a several days, consult your pharmacist.
If you missed Poly Dex dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use this if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Poly Dex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard this if solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
