Cortizone for Kids Usage: this pill is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Cortizone for Kids: Clean & dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage a small amount of the drug in to the affected area & surrounding skin. don't bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you instructed to do so by your pharmacist. don't use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in diaper area. Avoid using it medication around eyes unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Cortizone for Kids side effects: this medication can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to the skin. this should disappear in some days as you're body adjusts to med. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this medication. Notify youre doctor if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Cortizone for Kids Precautions: do not use this medication near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate and augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if they're is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this med will be absorbed into your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true since kid & for those who have used it for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your pharmacist or physician for more details. this drug should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits and risks with your doctor. Small amounts of this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with youre physician before breast-feeding.
Cortizone for Kids med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about all medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Cortizone for Kids Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Cortizone for Kids special notes: Inform all your healthcare professionals you use (or have used) this drug. don't share this drug with others.
If you missed Cortizone since Kids dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cortizone for Kids Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
