    Iron/vitamin c/vitamin b12/stomach concentrate - oral

    common brand names: Chromagen, Ferragen

    Warning: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of death poisoning in child under 6 years of age. Keep this product out of reach of kid. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call poison control center.

    Simular Drugs : Hematogen, Hematogen Fa, Hematogen Forte

    Hematogen Usage: Iron is the major transporter of oxygen in the body. Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron. Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) is important to the body for growth, cell production, blood & nerve function. Stomach concentrate enhances absorption of Vitamin B12. this combination medication is used at treatment of anemia or 'iron-poor' blood.

    How to use Hematogen: Take this drug by mouth as directed. it medication contains iron. this medication is best taken between meals for better absorption about the iron. However, this may be taken with food or meal if stomach upset occurs. Take each dose with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless youre pharmacist directs you otherwise. Swallow it whole. don't crush or chew the pill. don't lie down for 30 minutes after taking it medication. do not exceed recommended dosage.

    Hematogen side effects: it medication is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach upset may occur. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: vomiting, stomach cramps, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or doctor.

    Hematogen Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: other illnesses, allergies (especially drug allergies). Ingestion of alcohol may increase the chance of stomach upset.

    Hematogen drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, especially of: all vitamin products, antacids, antibiotics. Avoid taking any tetracycline antibiotic within 1 to 2 hours of taking this because the iron component may interfere with absorption of the tetracycline. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Hematogen Overdose: Accidental overdose of iron-containing goods is leading cause of fatal poisoning in kid under 6. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Hematogen special notes: Blood tests may be done to check your response to it medication. it is important to maintain well balanced diet to ensure adequate intake of vitamins & minerals.

    If you missed Hematogen dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Hematogen Storage: Store this pill at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom. Keep out of the reach of children.
