Nadolol Usage: this med is used for chest pain (angina), HBP & irregular heartbeats.
How to use Nadolol: Take it drug exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at same times each day. do not suddenly stop taking this med without consulting your healthcare professional. few conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped.
Nadolol side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, and blurred vision as your body adjusts to drug. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers may reduce blood circulation to extremities, your hands and feet may be cold. Dress warm. Inform your doctor if you develop: simple bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion, depression, a sore throat. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek healthcare attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Nadolol Precautions: Before taking this drug, tell your healthcare professional if you have history about: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, any other lung disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, any drug allergies. Before having surgery, tell pharmacist or dentist in charge that you taking beta-blocker. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this drug is excreted into breast milk and though no problems have been noted, the possibility for adverse effects to infant exists. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Nadolol tablet interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: diuretics, cold preparations & nasal decongestants, reserpine, other heart or hypertension medications, St John's wort. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or doctor approval.
Nadolol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, slow or shallow breathing, seizures, unconsciousness, weakness, or fatigue.
Nadolol special notes: you're doctor may want you to take you're pulse each day while you take this medication. Learn how to monitor your pulse.
If you missed Nadolol dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered but not if it is within 4 hours of following dose (8 hours for penbutolol, atenolol, nadolol). If It's, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Nadolol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
