Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40: Take this medication by mouth. pills must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first few days as some your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this med may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 Precautions: Tell you're physician if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk and benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for HBP. Tell your doctor if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

If you missed Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gfn 1200 Phenylephrine 40 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
