Sb Bismuth Usage: this drug is used to treat indigestion, nausea, diarrhea; to relieve stomach cramps & to prevent traveler's diarrhea.
How to use Sb Bismuth: liquid form about this medication must be shaken well before pouring each dose. Chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly or dissolved in the mouth. Non-chewable pills & caplets must be swallowed whole with glass of water. the dose may be repeated every 30 minutes to one hour as needed but no more than 8 doses must be taken in 24 hour period.
Sb Bismuth side effects: this medication is generally well tolerated. Stools may appear gray-black in color while taking this tablet. do not be alarmed. this will disappear when med is stopped. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or physician.
Sb Bismuth Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: other illnesses, allergies (especially drug allergies). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre healthcare professional. since small amounts about it medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Sb Bismuth med interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: aspirin, blood thinners, tetracycline antibiotics, medications for diabetes, medications for gout. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Sb Bismuth Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include ringing in ears, dizziness, confusion, & coma.
Sb Bismuth special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve after 2 days or becomes worse or if fever is present, notify youre physician.
If you missed Sb Bismuth dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Sb Bismuth Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. the liquid may be stored in refrigerator to improve the taste, but Its not necessary. don't store in the bathroom.
