Polycitra K Usage: this med makes the urine less acidic. It's used to treat & prevent formation of kidney stones and gout.
How to use Polycitra K: it medication must be diluted in water before drinking to prevent stomach upset. Take prescribed dose & dilute it in at least 1/2 glass of water. Stir to mix & drink. following with additional water. it is usually taken after meals & at bedtime. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more often without your doctor's approval.
Polycitra K side effects: Notify some your healthcare professional if you develop: diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, fluid retention, convulsions, unusual weakness, mental confusion, tingling or numbness about hands or feet. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Polycitra K Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, Addison's disease, HBP, allergies. Because this med contains salt (sodium), tell you're healthcare professional if you on salt-restricted diet. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. for small amounts about this med are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Polycitra K medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: lithium, chlorpropamide, methotrexate, aspirin, water pills, heart or blood tablet, methenamine, tetracyclines (including doxycycline and minocycline). don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Polycitra K Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include sluggishness, weakness, confusion, irregular heartbeat, or fainting.
Polycitra K special notes: While taking it drug, it may be necessary for you to test pH (acidity) of your urine using special paper. pH will help determine proper dose.
If you missed Polycitra K dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Polycitra K Storage: the crystals should be stored at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 TO 30 degrees C).
