Flavoxate HCL Usage: it medication relaxes muscles of urinary tract. It's used to relieve pain, burning, urinary urgency & frequency and other symptoms associated with urinary tract infections, bladder infections & prostate infections.
How to use Flavoxate HCL: this pill is taken by mouth 3 or four times day as directed. Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Flavoxate HCL side effects: Nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, & nervousness may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, fever, eye pain, mental confusion, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or healthcare professional.
Flavoxate HCL Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, stomach or intestinal disorders, glaucoma, allergies. Because this drug may cause drowsiness or blurred vision, use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Flavoxate HCL drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med you take, especially of: blood pressure medications, antidepressants. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Flavoxate HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually dry mouth; excessive thirst; nausea; vomiting; difficulty breathing; blurred vision; dilated pupils; flushed, hot, dry skin; muscle weakness; unusual dizziness or drowsiness; restlessness; disorientation; and seizures.
Flavoxate HCL special notes: this drug relieves the symptoms of the infection & must be taken along with an antibiotic which will treat the infection itself.
If you missed Flavoxate HCL dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Flavoxate HCL Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
