Benzocaine - otic

Americaine Usage: it medication is used to relieve pain, itching & discomfort associated with ear infections, injury or other ear conditions.

How to use Americaine: for best effects, this drug must be used as directed. don't use this medication more often or continue to use it for longer than directed. Apply ear drops to affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it touch your ear. If medication has been refrigerated, hold the bottle in your hand for a few minutes to warm it. Lie on your side or tilt the affected ear up. Place dropper directly over the ear and administer the prescribed number about drops. To help drops roll into ear, in adults, hold earlobe up and back and in kid, hold the earlobe down & back. Keep the head tilted for about two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse dropper.

Americaine side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your ear for a minute or two when applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional immediately if you develop: skin rash, ear itching or burning, redness/swelling or pain in or around ears. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Americaine Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: infections, any allergies. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional.

Americaine pill interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: another ear preparations. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Americaine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Americaine special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after some days, consult you're physician.

If you missed Americaine dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Americaine Storage: it medication should be stored at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard this if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
