    Dextrose in Water Usage: this med is an intravenous (IV) solution used to supply water and calories to the body. Its also used as mixing solution (diluent) since other IV medications.

    How to use Dextrose in Water: Give it medication by vein (IV), as directed by you pharmacist. dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. Follow all instructions since proper mixing with other IV medications. Ask some your pharmacist if you have any questions regarding use about this drug. this medication should be checked visually for particles or discoloration before use. If ether is present, do not use the liquid. Learn how to store and discard needles & medical supplies safely. Consult your pharmacist.

    Dextrose in Water side effects: Redness or pain at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact some your healthcare professional or pharmacist promptly. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: fever, trouble breathing, swelling. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.

    Dextrose in Water Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: diabetes, heart problems (e.g., congestive heart failure), kidney problems, low levels of potassium (hypokalemia), swelling (edema), any allergies you may have. Caution is advised when using it drug in infants since they may be more sensitive to effects about the medication. Tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant before using this medication. It's unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Dextrose in Water drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: 'water pills' (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), corticotropin (adrenocorticotropic hormone), corticosteroids (e.g., hydrocortisone, prednisone). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Dextrose at Water Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include trouble breathing, or swelling.

    Dextrose in Water special notes: do not share this pill with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor for side effects & response to treatment.

    If you missed Dextrose in Water dose: If you miss dose, contact youre doctor or pharmacist immediately to establish a new dosing schedule. If dose is interrupted, contact your doctor or physician immediately to establish a new dosing schedule.

    Dextrose in Water Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. Consult your healthcare professional for following details about stability & storage after mixing with other IV medications. Discard any unused liquid.
