Neomycin Polymyxin HC Usage: this pill is used to treat certain infections of outer ear.

How to use Neomycin Polymyxin HC: for best effects, this drug must be used as directed. Continue using it for full clock prescribed. Stopping it medication too soon may not clear the infection and could possibly result in reinfection. don't use it drug more often or continue to use this for longer than directed. Apply ear drops to the affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let it touch your ear. If the medication has been refrigerated, hold the bottle in youre hand for a few minutes to warm this. Shake the container well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on you're side or tilt the affected ear up. Place dropper directly over the ear & administer prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into ear, in adults, hold earlobe up & back & in children, hold the earlobe down & back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse dropper.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your ear for minute or two when applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/swelling/pain in or around ears. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: other infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. Although unlikely, absorption into the body of the hydrocortisone in it product may occur during topical application. Therefore, consult with youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC med interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, consult your physician.

If you missed Neomycin Polymyxin HC dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if this is near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Neomycin Polymyxin HC Storage: this may be stored in refrigerator or at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light.
