Drixoral Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms about allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.

How to use Drixoral: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Sustained-release or long acting tablets & capsules must be swallowed whole. Chewing or crushing them will destroy long action & may increase side effects. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication, unless your healthcare professional instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, notify your physician. don't increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended.

Drixoral side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to med. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: trouble breathing, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging at activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

Drixoral Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, diabetes, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, overactive thyroid gland. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. it medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding. check other medicines you take for duplications. do not drink alcoholic beverages. do not give extended-release tablets to kid younger than 12 years of age unless directed to do so by doctor.

Drixoral drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially drug since: HBP, seizures, depression. Tell your pharmacist if you use any medications that make you drowsy such as: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine), other cold or allergy drugs. do not take it drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Drixoral Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose at children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Drixoral dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Drixoral Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
