Caltrex 600 Usage: Calcium supplements used to ensure an adequate intake of calcium during important periods of bone growth such as at childhood, during pregnancy & while breast-feeding. in adults, calcium is used to prevent osteoporosis (deterioration of bone).
How to use Caltrex 600: Take with a large glass about water during or after meal. Use as directed. If you are using chewable product, it must be chewed well before swallowing. If you are using an effervescent tablet, it should be dissolved in a glass of cold water or juice before taking this. Allow the pill to stop fizzing before drinking. Drink liquid slowly. Because calcium can interfere with absorption of other medications, do not take other medications within two hours of taking calcium.
Caltrex 600 side effects: Calcium is generally well tolerated. High levels about calcium can cause few adverse effects. Notify you're doctor if you experience any of following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach pain, thirst, dry mouth, increased urination. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.
Caltrex 600 Precautions: If you have any of following health problems, consult you're pharmacist before using it tablet: diarrhea, stomach trouble, parathyroid disease, lung disease (sarcoidosis), kidney stones. Tell some your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. several forms of calcium are known to be excreted into breast milk. Though they're have been no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Caltrex 600 med interactions: Tell you're physician of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: vitamins, tetracycline, quinolone antibiotics (e.g. ciprofloxacin), gallium nitrate, cellulose sodium phosphate, etidronate, magnesium sulfate, phenytoin. do not eat large amounts about bran or whole grain cereals & breads. They may reduce absorption of calcium. Also, consuming alcohol, large amounts of caffeine, & tobacco smoking may affect absorption of calcium. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Caltrex 600 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea & vomiting, weakness, or constipation.
Caltrex 600 special notes: Foods rich in calcium include: dairy products and leafy green vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and collards. watch since foods fortified with calcium such as orange juice & flour. there is no difference between calcium products derived from natural or synthetic sources.
If you missed Caltrex 600 dose: Take missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for the next dose. If it is time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume your regular schedule. don't double the dose.
Caltrex 600 Storage: Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze the liquid forms.
