Corticosteroids - topical
Amcinonide Usage: this tablet is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies and another irritations.
How to use Amcinonide: Clean & dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage small amount bit of medication in to the affected area & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your pharmacist. don't use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on child being treated with it med in diaper region. Avoid using this medication around eyes unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Amcinonide side effects: this medication can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to skin. this should disappear in few days as your body adjusts to medication. it medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform you're doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this drug. Notify your pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the next side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Amcinonide Precautions: do not use this drug near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate and augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if they're is an infection or sores present on the region to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible it medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your pharmacist or physician for more details. this med should be used cautiously during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits and risks with your healthcare professional. Small amounts of this tablet may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Amcinonide medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about all medications you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Amcinonide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Amcinonide special notes: Inform all your pharmacists you use (or have used) this medication. do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Amcinonide dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time since next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Amcinonide Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
Medical alert: your condition may cause complications in a medical emergency.
