Emollients - topical
a & D Usage: Emollients substances which soften & moisturize the skin. Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin & minor skin irritations (e.g., diaper rash).
How to use & D: this med is to be applied to skin as directed. Avoid use in eyes.
a & D side effects: most emollients can be used safely & effectively with no side effects. However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notify your pharmacist or pharmacist. Inform your physician if condition for which this medication was prescribed does not improve after few days. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
a & D Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergies. Before using it drug, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
& D drug interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin goods. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
& D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
& D special notes: there are many types of emollient products available. several contain other ingredients or may be scented. They are available in different forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays. Consult with your doctor or physician on product that may be best for you.
If you missed a & D dose: Skip missed dose and resume your regular schedule.
a & D Storage: Store in room temperature & keep away from moisture and sunlight. do not freeze liquid forms.
