Mintab D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Mintab D: Take this drug by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew drug. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Mintab D side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Mintab D Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with some your healthcare professional. it is not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Mintab D tablet interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, med for depression, drug for HBP. Tell youre pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Mintab D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Mintab D special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Mintab D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Mintab D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
