Dextrose 10% 1 4ns Usage: it medication is an intravenous (IV) solution used to supply water, calories, & electrolytes (e.g., sodium, chloride) to the body. It's also used as a mixing solution (diluent) for other IV medications.
How to use Dextrose 10% 1 4ns: Give it drug by vein (IV), as directed by you physician. the dosage is based on youre medical condition & response to therapy. Follow all instructions for proper mixing with other IV medications. Ask your healthcare professional if you have any questions regarding use of this medication. this medication should be checked visually for particles or discoloration before use. If either is present, do not use liquid. Learn how to store & discard needles and medical supplies safely. Consult youre pharmacist.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns side effects: Redness or pain at the injection site may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: fever, trouble breathing, swelling. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: diabetes, heart problems (e.g., congestive heart failure), kidney problems, low levels of potassium (hypokalemia), high levels about sodium (hypernatremia), swelling (edema), allergies (especially drug allergies). Caution is advised when using this medication at infants for they may be more sensitive to the effects of med. Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using this medication. this is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns medication interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription pill you may use, especially of: water tablets (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), corticotropin (adrenocorticotropic hormone), corticosteroids (e.g., hydrocortisone, prednisone). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose include trouble breathing, or swelling.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns special notes: do not share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor for side effects and response to treatment.
If you missed Dextrose 10% 1 4ns dose: If you miss a dose, contact your physician or pharmacist immediately to establish new dosing schedule. If dose is interrupted, contact you're physician or pharmacist immediately to establish new dosing schedule.
Dextrose 10% 1 4ns Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Consult your pharmacist for text about stability & storage after mixing with other IV medications. Discard any unused liquid.
