Sodium Chloride Usage: this medication is an intravenous (IV) solution used to supply water and electrolytes (e.g., sodium, chloride) to the body. it is also used as a mixing solution (diluent) for other IV medications.
How to use Sodium Chloride: Give this med by vein (IV), as directed by you physician. dosage is based on youre medical condition and response to therapy. Follow every instructions for proper mixing with another IV medications. Ask your healthcare professional if you have any questions regarding the use of this medication. this tablet should be checked visually for particles or discoloration before use. Sodium Chloride side effects: Redness or pain at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact you're doctor or pharmacist promptly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Sodium Chloride Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: heart problems (e.g., congestive heart failure), kidney problems, liver problems, low levels of potassium (hypokalemia), high sodium levels (hypernatremia), swelling (edema), any allergies you may have. Caution is advised when using this drug at infants since they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medication. Tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant before using it pill. Its unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Sodium Chloride pill interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: water pills (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), corticotropin (adrenocorticotropic hormone), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone, hydrocortisone). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Sodium Chloride Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose include trouble breathing, or swelling.
