Regutol Usage: this medication helps fluids to mix with stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. Its used to treat constipation.

How to use Regutol: Swallow capsules and meds whole with full glass of water or juice. liquid and syrup forms should be given in 6 to 8 ounces of milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after 1-st dose.

Regutol side effects: this drug may cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid & syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify you're healthcare professional if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack about bowel movements. Frequent use of laxatives can cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this drug. Regutol Precautions: do not take aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any other nonprescription medication) without obtaining you're doctor's advice.
