Guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/decongestant - oral

Mintab C Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Mintab C: it drug is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often then directed.
Mintab C side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or healthcare professional.
Mintab C Precautions: Tell your pharmacist you're medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. it pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre healthcare professional. this medication may be excreted in to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Mintab C drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription pills you use, especially: drug since blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or physician approval.
Mintab C Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Mintab C special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Mintab C dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Mintab C Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
