Cystagon Usage: this medication is used to prevent kidney damage & other problems in persons with cystinosis, a hereditary metabolic disorder.

How to use Cystagon: Take this pill by mouth exactly as prescribed usually 4 doses day. During the first several weeks your dose may gradually be increased to allow your body to adjust to med. Take this drug with food or just after meal to reduce stomach upset. for child, open capsules and sprinkle contents onto soft food such as applesauce or mashed potatoes just prior to eating.

Cystagon side effects: this tablet may initially cause nausea, loss of appetite, tiredness, drowsiness, & diarrhea as youre body adjusts to the pill. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: vomiting, a fever, skin rash. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Cystagon Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney problems, liver disease, hypertension, blood disorders, allergies (especially drug allergies). it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. this isn't known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

Cystagon med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Cystagon Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Cystagon special notes: Laboratory tests will be done periodically while taking this drug to monitor it is effects & determine you're appropriate dose.

If you missed Cystagon dose: Try to take each dose at scheduled time. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is within 2 hours about following dose. Instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Cystagon Storage: Store it medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom. Keep this and every medications out about the reach of kid.
