Biscolax Usage: this tablet is stimulant laxative. this acts by irritating digestive tract & stimulates intestinal activity. It's used to treat constipation or to clean out intestinal tract before bowel examinations or bowel surgery.
How to use Biscolax: To use suppository, unwrap it and moisten this slightly in lukewarm water. Lie on your left side with right knee slightly bent. Insert the suppository into the rectum with youre finger. If possible, avoid bowel movement for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the tablet to work.
Biscolax side effects: this drug may cause stomach ache, cramping, weakness, sweating, irritation of the rectal area, diarrhea, or dizziness. Notify youre doctor if you experience: chest pain, fainting, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use of laxatives can cause dehydration and loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this drug. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Biscolax Precautions: do not use bisacodyl without consulting your pharmacist if you have: severe nausea, vomiting, gastritis, other stomach or intestinal problems, recent abdominal surgery, rectal bleeding, vitamin/mineral deficiencies, appendicitis, allergy to bisacodyl. If patient is under 6 years of age, consult child's physician before using it medication. Before using bisacodyl, tell your doctor if you are pregnant. Its not known if bisacodyl passes at to breast milk. Consult your doctor if you breast-feeding.
Biscolax drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use. do not stop or start any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Biscolax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken it medicine by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Biscolax special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to 6 glasses about water per day, include bulk or roughage in your diet, and exercise regularly.
If you missed Biscolax dose: If you miss dose, skip missed dose. do not double dose.
Biscolax Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
