Stool softeners/stimulant combination laxatives - oral

P Col Rite Usage: this drug is used for short-term treatment of constipation.

How to use P Col Rite: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking it medication. Laxatives shouldn't be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.

P Col Rite side effects: this med may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. it drug may cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish at color. do not be alarmed. It's not harmful. Notify your doctor if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

P Col Rite Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use about laxatives may lead to dependency. it medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult your pharmacist before using any drug while breast-feeding.

P Col Rite drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of some medications, It's important to tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

P Col Rite Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.

P Col Rite special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake about fiber & roughage and exercise regularly.

If you missed P Col Rite dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

P Col Rite Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & moisture. don't store at bathroom.
