Liposyn Ii Usage: Fats are used by the body as source of calories needed to provide energy & nutrients since various bodily functions. it drug is used at person who are unable to eat properly.

How to use Liposyn Ii: Allow all bags or bottles to warm to room temperature before using. this nutritional supplement is administered intravenously as directed by certified health care professional. it is infused over predetermined clock period stated on the bottle.

Liposyn Ii side effects: most common side effect of intravenous nutrition is infection or irritation of vein at administration site (catheter). it should be reported to your healthcare professional. Also report: shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing, sweating, sleepiness. Notify your physician immediately if you experience: itchy hives, sudden weight gain, fever, chills, yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening urine, bruising, stomach pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Liposyn Ii Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: kidney disease, digestive disorders, other illness, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre pharmacist. It's not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Liposyn Ii drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.

Liposyn Ii Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Liposyn Ii special notes: Make sure needles, tubing, & supplies are stored safely & disposed of properly. the special tubing supplied for fat emulsion must never contain a filter. do not use any bottle in which separation about emulsion has occurred. check every expiration dates & keep all bags or bottles in proper sequence. Notify your pharmacist if you have allergies to eggs or soybean. your nutritional status will be closely monitored. Based on this your formula may need to be changed to accommodate youre nutritional needs.

If you missed Liposyn Ii dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & contact your physician to establish new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Liposyn Ii Storage: Store unopened containers at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Mixed fat emulsions should be refrigerated & used within 24 hours. Discard any unused drug after expiration date.
