Drituss HD Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. the decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination tablet is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Drituss HD: this med is best taken with, or after, meal or snack. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more many times than directed.

Drituss HD side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur first several days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or doctor.

Drituss HD Precautions: Tell you're physician if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it tablet causes you to feel drowsy. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Drituss HD drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Drituss HD Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.

Drituss HD special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Drituss HD dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Drituss HD Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
