Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Allerest Usage: Antihistamines provide relief about symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Allerest: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or accompanied by high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Allerest side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects must subside as your body adjusts to tablet. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Allerest Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre healthcare professional promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. don't drink alcoholic beverages. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding. do not give this drug to child younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by doctor.
Allerest drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional what medications you take, especially of: HBP pills, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain tablet, other cold or allergy drug. do not take it medication if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.
Allerest Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose at kid may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Allerest special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Allerest dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Allerest Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
