Warning: Internal bleeding may be more difficult to control with it med than with another anticoagulant therapy. it drug must be used in a hospital setting. this must be started as soon as possible after lung blood clots have been noticed (pulmonary embolism), preferably within 7 days. Urokinase should be given within 6 hours of the 1-st symptoms of heart attack associated with evolving myocardial infarction.
Abbokinase Usage: it drug is a protein (enzyme) which works to break up & dissolve blood clots which can block arteries. this is used in treatment of very serious blood clots in lung blood vessels (pulmonary embolism).
How to use Abbokinase: this drug is given by injection by health care professional. it is important this drug be used as prescribed. it is most effective when administered as soon as possible after symptoms appear (e.g., within six hours of onset of chest pain).
Abbokinase side effects: Dizziness, fever, headache, or nausea may occur shortly after the med is given by vein (infusion reaction). Notify the healthcare professional immediately if any of these effects occur, as medication infusion may need to be stopped, or drug to treat reaction may need to be given. Notify your physician immediately if you experience: easy bruising or bleeding (e.g., pink urine, bleeding gums, black or bloody stools), rapid or abnormal heartbeat, chest pain, tingling or numbness of hands/feet. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. Rare (possibly fatal) cholesterol blood clots (emboli) may occur while using medicines that dissolve blood clots. Report immediately any of following symptoms: change in amount of urine, severe stomach/abdominal pain, unexplained muscle pain, discolored toes or fingers. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Abbokinase Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing bleeding disorders, HBP, heart infection (endocarditis), recent biopsy or surgery, recent injury, any allergies. Use extra caution to avoid injury and trauma (e.g., carefully brushing teeth) while using this medication due to the increased risk of bleeding. Consult you're doctor regarding the unlikely risk that this med contains infectious material. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre doctor. this isn't known if it medication passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Abbokinase drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any prescription or nonprescription drug you may take including: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen), aspirin. pills that can reverse effects about urokinase include: aminocaproic acid, aprotinin, tranexamic acid. Aspirin or NSAID drugs (e.g., ibuprofen) must not be used to treat fever, for they may increase the chance of bleeding while using urokinase. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Abbokinase Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Abbokinase special notes: Laboratory tests will be done frequently while using this medication to monitor Its effects & to prevent side effects.
If you missed Abbokinase dose: Continued dosing is usually not necessary for this drug.
Abbokinase Storage: Store powder vial at refrigerator at 36-46 degrees F (2 to 8 degrees C). Reconstituted solution should be used immediately after reconstituting. Discard any unused portion.
