    Simular Drugs : Prolex D, Prolex Dh, Prolex DM

    Prolex DM Usage: this combination of cough suppressant & expectorant medicines is used to treat cough due to colds, flu or hay fever. Also, phlegm (lung secretions) may become less thick after using this medication along with fluids.

    How to use Prolex DM: Take this drug by mouth generally 4 times daily with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water as needed, or as directed by your physician. Drink plenty of fluids unless otherwise directed. Notify youre doctor if your condition does not improve in 7 days or if you develop high fever or persistent headache.

    Prolex DM side effects: Nausea, drowsiness or dizziness may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. If you notice other side effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Prolex DM Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies (especially drug allergies). this tablet may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it tablet should not be given to children under 3 years of age. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details. this combination of medications should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. it is not known whether it combination of drugs passes into breast milk. Because of potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using it product is not recommended. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Prolex DM drug interactions: Tell your physician about every prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors used currently or stopped within last 2 weeks (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Also report use about medications that cause drowsiness, such as: sleeping pills, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines, anti-seizure drugs, muscle relaxants, sedatives, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). dollars the labels on every your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about safe use about those products. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.

    Prolex DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

    Prolex DM special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Prolex DM dose: When instructed to use it on regular schedule (not 'as needed'): if you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time about next dose, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Prolex DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
