Pcm LA Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat and itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have a drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Pcm LA: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. it medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack. Long-acting pills and capsules should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or long action may be destroyed & the chance of side effects increased.

Pcm LA side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose and eyes may occur first some days as youre body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Pcm LA Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Pcm LA tablet interactions: Tell youre doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: med for blood pressure, drug for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell your doctor if you take meds that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure meds (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this med. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Pcm LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, fast breathing, fever, hot dry & flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Pcm LA special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Pcm LA dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Pcm LA Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
