Codotuss Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Hydrocodone is narcotic pain reliever in low-dose which suppresses cough. this combination medication is used to treat a cough & symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Codotuss: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often then directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.

Codotuss side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur 1-st several days as your body adjusts to med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, mental confusion, hallucinations, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Codotuss Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, emotional problems, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially pill allergies). Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. it medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts about this med are found at breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Codotuss pill interactions: Tell your doctor about every over-the-counter and prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, cimetidine. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it med. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Codotuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold and clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.

Codotuss special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Codotuss dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Codotuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
