Bisacodyl Supp Usage: this medication is stimulant laxative. this acts by irritating digestive tract and stimulates intestinal activity. it is used to treat constipation or to clean out intestinal tract before bowel examinations or bowel surgery.

How to use Bisacodyl Supp: To use the suppository, unwrap it & moisten this slightly in lukewarm water. Lie on your left side with right knee slightly bent. Insert the suppository in to rectum with youre finger. If possible, avoid bowel movement for 10 to 15 minutes to allow tablet to work.

Bisacodyl Supp side effects: this medication may cause stomach ache, cramping, weakness, sweating, irritation of rectal area, diarrhea, or dizziness. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: chest pain, fainting, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use about laxatives can cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this drug. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.

Bisacodyl Supp Precautions: don't use bisacodyl without consulting your physician if you have: severe nausea, vomiting, gastritis, other stomach or intestinal problems, recent abdominal surgery, rectal bleeding, vitamin/mineral deficiencies, appendicitis, allergy to bisacodyl. If the patient is under 6 years about age, consult child's physician before using it med. Before using bisacodyl, tell your doctor if you are pregnant. it isnt known if bisacodyl passes into breast milk. Consult youre physician if you are breast-feeding.

Bisacodyl Supp medication interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription & nonprescription drug you may use. do not stop or start any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Bisacodyl Supp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken this medicine by mouth, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Bisacodyl Supp special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to six glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet, and exercise regularly.

If you missed Bisacodyl Supp dose: If you miss dose, skip missed dose. do not double dose.

Bisacodyl Supp Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
