Neomycin/polymyxin/dexamethasone - ophthalmic ointment

Maxitrol Usage: it medication is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Maxitrol: for best effects, it med must be used as directed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping it medication too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in reinfection. Apply eye ointment to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1'st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye. Rolling ointment tube in you're hands since a minute will make ointment flow easier. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch about ointment into pouch by squeezing the tube gently. Close the eye & roll the eyeball in every directions to spread the medication. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. Wipe the tip of ointment tube with tissue to remove excess medication before capping it. If you using an eye drop in addition to it med, apply eye drops first & wait at least five minutes before applying this eye ointment. If you are using another type of eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using this medication before applying it.
Maxitrol side effects: it drug may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for minute or two when 1st applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform you're doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify youre physician immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/pain/swelling in or around eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Maxitrol Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: other eye problems, allergies (especially to any antibiotics or sulfites). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with you're doctor.
Maxitrol med interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Maxitrol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Maxitrol special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after some days, consult your pharmacist.
If you missed Maxitrol dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use it if It's near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Maxitrol Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. money expiration date on tube and discard any expired medication.
